I learned that it was not totally different back then, but there was some differences. Then they didnt have as much focus on school as much as today, we have more homework and are tought in preperation for college. I would not have liked it as much then because you would have to work on the farm and then there was more respect for people, but you could get away with alot if you really wanted to back then. I agree with what the video was saying and we all have to go through the same things and deal with it, being either a parent or a kid. I enjoyed my adolences and my parents are never really on my case but thats because im not that bad of a kid besides a few minor tickets but i have a 3.5 gpa and compared to my brother they cant really complain but they still do. I am very shy so i dont think that im going to be very good as an adult at first but will deal with it. In chapter 4 i learned how different other cultures are from us just based on greetings and how we think that some ways they greet is very weird. In chapter 5 i learned the base on which younger kids pick up on things and the way they think is funny.

My interview with my grandma seems to be a lot like yours. My grandma had to work on the farm as well, they didn't have a choice back then. Some of the things I was supprised with was that they did a lot of the things we do aswell. I thought times were a lot more different, I never really realized they did the same things. I'm going to agree with you about the greetings. I thought some were weird, and I never really realized that that differen't cultures had that differen't of greetings.
ReplyDeleteWhats up Jeremy??? I as well as you and Ryan interview my grandma and realized that she had to spend a lot of time working on the farm. She also wasn't allowed to work because she had to stay home and take care of her sickly father. I was impressed with your view on the video and your thoughts about how your adolescene has influenced you for when you become an adult. I truely believe you will grow out of your shy stage and become a good adult and deal with it rather well!
